Dr. Chermesnok was raised in the small community of Fraser Lake, British Columbia. In 2008 she graduated from the University of Northern British Columbia and was awarded a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and molecular biology. Furthering her education in 2013 she was awarded a Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Waterloo. She has since practiced optometry in both Newfoundland and Ontario. Currently she practices within and operates College Heights Optometry in Prince George, British Columbia.

In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors, traveling and spending time with her family.
